Rooted in Isaiah 53:5 – Healing and Atonement in Yeshua Jesus

“But he was wounded because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; the discipline for our well-being was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5, CJB) Many in our area know the Messiah as Jesus — and that’s wonderful! His Hebrew name is Yeshua (meaning “Yahweh saves”), the promised Jewish Messiah who fulfills every hope of the Scriptures. This promise is the heartbeat of Isaiah535Church. Through Yeshua Jesus the Messiah, God brings complete healing — spirit, soul, and body — to everyone who comes to Him.

Introduction Our Beliefs: Faith, Obedience, and Service in Yeshua

At our church, we hold to timeless truths rooted in Scripture, shared in a way that speaks to everyone—whether you're exploring faith for the first time, rediscovering it, or walking in it daily. We blend ancient wisdom with everyday relevance, inviting all generations to discover hope, purpose, and community through Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah. Here's what guides us:

Salvation: God's Free Gift Through Jesus Sacrifice

We believe salvation is God's incredible gift of grace, available to anyone who trusts in the life-changing death and resurrection of Jesus the Messiah. His blood shed on the cross completes the ancient sacrificial promises in the Torah (the first five books of the Bible), offering forgiveness and freedom from sin for everyone who turns from their old ways and believes (Isaiah 53:4-6; Romans 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus is the ultimate Lamb of God who removes the world's brokenness (John 1:29), and only through Him can we find true life that lasts forever. Our church is all about sharing this good news openly—whether you're young, old, skeptic, or seeker—inviting you into a real relationship with the God of Israel. This faith brings new beginnings and connects us all as part of God's family (Ephesians 2:11-13). No matter your background, you're welcome here to explore what this means for you.

Obedience: Living Out God's Timeless Instructions

As people who follow Jesus, we see the Torah as God's holy, wise, and life-giving blueprint for how to live well (Romans 7:12). Jesus didn't cancel it out—He lived it perfectly and showed us how to embrace it (Matthew 5:17-19). Empowered by the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh), we choose to follow its principles on morals, ethics, and traditions in a fresh, New Covenant way. This includes honoring the Sabbath (Shabbat), celebrating biblical holidays, eating mindfully according to Scripture, and practicing justice and kindness—not to earn God's love, but because we love Him back and want to live authentically (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; John 14:15). We celebrate Jesus's Jewish roots while embracing everyone—Jews and non-Jews alike—as equal partners in this journey (Romans 11:17-18). Whether you're new to these ideas or they've been part of your life forever, we invite you to join us in discovering how these ancient practices bring joy and meaning to modern life.

Service: Putting Faith into Action Like the Sheep and Goats Story

We're inspired by Jesus's teaching in Matthew 25:31-46, where He shows that real faith shows up in how we treat others—especially those in need. It's about rolling up our sleeves to feed the hungry, quench thirst, welcome outsiders, clothe those without, care for the sick, and support the imprisoned. When we help "the least of these," we're serving Jesus Himself. We don't settle for just talk or routines; our faith calls us to real-world compassion that proves it's genuine (James 2:14-17). Our church dives into this through local outreach, partnerships, and global efforts that tackle physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges, echoing God's call for justice and mercy (Micah 6:8; Isaiah 58:6-7) and the healing promise in Isaiah 53:5. No matter where you are in life—thriving, struggling, or somewhere in between—we're here to serve alongside you and invite you to be part of making a difference. Together, we can live out the Kingdom of God in ways that touch hearts and change lives.

The Triune God and Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah

We believe in one eternal God — the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 48:16; Matthew 28:19). Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah of Israel: fully God and fully human, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as our atoning sacrifice, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is coming back soon to establish His Kingdom on earth. Everything we believe flows from knowing and following Him, and this truth is the foundation for all we teach and live out together.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We practice believer’s immersion in water as a joyful act of identification with Yeshua’s death, burial, and resurrection that we offer to all new believers and those who rededicate their lives. Talk with a member of the Pastoral staff to learn more. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4). The Lord’s Supper is a beautiful memorial of His body and blood, reminding us of the New Covenant, our deliverance from sin, and His promised return (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). A wonderful gift we celebrate regularly as a family of faith.

The Authority of Scripture

We hold the entire Bible — from Genesis to Revelation — as the inspired, trustworthy, and inerrant Word of God. It is our final authority for faith and life, and we study it together to grow closer to Yeshua and to one another. Whether you’re new to the Scriptures or have known them all your life, you’ll find a place here to ask questions, dig deeper, and apply God’s truth in practical, everyday ways.

The Holy Spirit and His Gifts

We believe the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) empowers every believer to live out the faith we’ve been given. He comforts us, convicts us, and freely gives spiritual gifts that build up the body of Messiah and bless those around us. These gifts are still active today and are meant to be used in love, humility, and for the glory of God — whether in our gatherings or out in the community.
